Why Concussion symptoms occur
A concussion refers to when someone has been hit either in the head or on the body and the force has been transferred to their head resulting in some immediate or slow onset symptoms within minutes to hours of the injury including headaches, dizziness, a feeling of unbalance or rocking, brain fog, blurred vision, neck pain and unconsciousness just to name a few.
Typically most people will recover naturally over 4-6 week. However, some people will go on to have persistent symptoms which is called Post Concussion Syndrome.
The Challenge of treating Concussion Syndrome
The difficult thing about concussions is that everyone reacts differently and depending on what area of your brain is effected you may get different symptoms. Our goal is to identify what we need to do to strengthen the effected neurological networks and what we need to do to help you biochemically with different supplements.
Our approach to treating Post Concussion Syndrome
At Brain and Body Health we have been treating Post concussion syndrome successfully since 2012. Ongoing study has changed our approach to include several techniques to get you out of symptom free asap.
Step 1
Identify the impacted areas of your Brain
Through an in depth neurological assessment using several devices we can identify which areas of your brain have been effected by the concussion
Step 2
Get rid of the symptoms
Once we have identified the key areas we develop a tailored brain based rehab approach to start rebuilding the strength of your nervous system back to normal levels
Step 3
Make sure the symptoms do not come back
Our goal is to teach you the stratergies you need to implement at home to keep your nervous system healthy and prevent the concussion symptoms from returning.
